\n\tThe first<\/span> initiatives<\/span> for<\/span> machine translation<\/span> have emerged<\/span> during the Cold War<\/span>,<\/span> when<\/span> the Americans<\/span> had<\/span> a growing<\/span> need for translating<\/span> from Russian<\/span>.<\/span> Due to the<\/span> poor<\/span> performance of computers the development<\/span> has<\/span> stopped<\/span> for 30 years<\/span>.\u00a0 Nevertheless,<\/span> this<\/span> technology is nowadays advancing<\/span> with fast pace with support of the<\/span> internet and<\/span> the<\/span> front runners<\/span> such as Google<\/span> with its<\/span> huge<\/span> online<\/span> databas<\/span>.<\/span> In the second<\/span> part of this interview<\/span> with the<\/span> mag.<\/span> Peter<\/span> Holozanom<\/span> and doc. dr.<\/span> Jernej<\/span> Vi\u010di\u010d we answer<\/span> the question of how<\/span> a computer<\/span> translates<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n
