Title: Centrality measures in networks<\/p>\n

Abstract:
\nIn most networks some edges or vertices are more central than others. To quantify importance of nodes in networks, centrality indices were introduced. On the seminar we will talk about some of more known centrality measures like degree, eccentricity, closeness, betweenness centrality and transmission. We will consider some results regarding the construction of networks that maximize certain centrality index, and present a simple greedy approximation algorithm for computing group centrality.<\/p>\n
