Presentation of the National Action Plan for Open Science (OS)

On Monday, 25.3.2024 at 4pm in FAMNIT-VP2, dr. Ana Slavec presented:

The National Action Plan for Open Science (OS)

The National Action Plan for Open Science (OS) was adopted by the Slovenian government in May 2023. The plan is designed to facilitate six measures, which are:
1. Internationally aligned national OS ecosystem,
2. Evaluation of scientific research activity in accordance with OS principles,
3. Compliance of research results with FAIR principles and openness,
4. National community for OS,
5. Citizen science, and
6. Open access scientific publishing.
Within each point, the presentation highlighted what has already been done in this area, what to expect in the coming years, the initiatives worth monitoring, and the sources where we can learn more about these topics.


dr. Ana Slavec is a researcher at InnoRenew CoE where her main role is to support the development and implementation of the institute data management plan and to assist other researchers with data collection, analysis and reporting. She is also an Assistant Professor at the Department of Applied Natural Sciences (UP FAMNIT), teaching the course Statistics.
