“Combining animation, a feature-length documentary and interactive comic art, the Reinventing the Wheel cross-media documentary project tells the story of the biggest historical phenomenon in Slovenia – the oldest wooden wheel in the world, which was discovered in the Ljubljana marshes in 2003. Animation “Bobri voz” uses lthe egendary characters from Janez Jalen’s novel “Bobri” to take us to the Stone Age. Then, feature documentary Reinventing the Wheel gives us an insight into the phenomenon of the wheel. With the comic book Bobri voz and its smart phone app making pictures of the book alive, we complete the full circle, back to the animation.“
