Title: Predicting honey yield
Abstract:
From the financial point of view honey is the most important bee product as most beekeepers create a “majority” their revenue from the sale of honey. Honey yields depend on myn factors factors such as weather conditions at the time of honey yielding, weather conditions at the time of plants’ flowering, the the bee family … Beekeepers rely on their skills, centuries of experience documented in books, social network, rare testing stations and also on luck. For the last 10 years the Slovenian Beekeepers’ Association keeps data on honey yield in automated and manual stations. These data, together with hydrometeorological data and possibly new sources of data are in the forecasting model for honey yield.
