The team of students who will compete next weekend in the CERC 2016 competition in Zagreb spent a Saturday training. The team representing University of Primorska is (in the photo from left to right) Marko Palangetić, Daniel Sijađi and Anton Uramer.

Today, on 10th of October 2016, prof. dr. Tomaž Pisanski received the "Donald Michie and Alan Turing" award for his lifetime achievements. He received the award at the opening ceremony of the 19th International Multiconference Information Society – IS 2016 organized by the Department of Intelligent Systems, Jozef Stefan Institute.

Researchers' Night was held throughout Slovenia on 30. 9. 2016. The members of DIST department were present in Taverna in Koper. We presented echolocation learning experience in cooperation with the Škocjan caves Park, comic Beaver carts with augmented reality content, making of 3D digital statue, and Head-mounted display controllable remote camera.

The MTMarathon workshop took place in the week between 9.12.2016 and 9.17.2016 and was attended by a representative of the DIST (Jernej).

The members of HICUP lab virtualy presented three papers at the 12th IFIP TC9 Human Choice and Computers Conference. The conference is organised by the International Federation of Information Processing’s (IFIP) Technical Committee 9 (TC9) that focuses on the understanding how ICT innovation is associated with change in society and it works to shape socially responsible and ethical policies and professional practices in the information society.
