Two of our researchers (Klen čopič Pucihar and Matjaš Kljun) have attended the workshop. The participants have shared and discussed lessons learned from HCI education, research & practice in Hungary, Indonesia, India, Iran, Jordan, Malaysia, Mexico, Pakistan, Poland, Slovenia. The conclusion was that we all face similar issues and challenges including considering conferences as not prominent venues for publishing despite the fact that the number of ACM SIGCHI conference have much lower acceptance rate that many journals. The workshop also sparkened novel collaboration ideas including organising local SIGCHI chapters, workshop and local conferences as well as possible collabortions on future research projects.
